  • Now, Tim.
I’m plenty aware of the obvious benefits of executives having quick travel at their fingertips via a private jet, but you’re making it sound like these ambitious up-and-comers just got their first private jet and now they’re on the fast track back to profits.  Citi already owns two private jets and a helicopter.  You’d think they’d be as frugal as possible when they’ve laid off 52,000 employees in an attempt to be more efficient, not including the 7,900 corporate and 27,000 branch employees more recently laid off.  If the purchase of a new jet was justified, the government wouldn’t be after them and Citi wouldn’t be backing out on their entitlement to multiple jets.
